(GLASSBORO, OCTOBER 18) - Jim McGreevey committed a clear and dramatic flip-flop in tonight’s Town Hall Meeting at Rowan University. In response to a question from an audience member, Jim McGreevey said that airline pilots should be permitted to carry guns.

But that’s not consistent with what he said in the Trenton Times on August 19th 2001:

“There is a clear and dramatic difference between Mr. Schundler and myself regarding concealed weapons,” McGreevey said. “The only people who should have concealed weapons are law enforcement officers.”

Sounds like Jim McGreevey now believes that there are appropriate circumstances for someone other than a law enforcement officer to carry a concealed weapon.
