(WEST ORANGE, SEPTEMBER 6) - Republican gubernatorial candidate Bret Schundler today proudly announced the appointment of a prominent African-American businessman and Plainfield resident, George Gore, as Co-Chair of the New Jersey Republican State Committee:
“George Gore’s appointment as Co-Chair of the New Jersey Republican Party is just one of many steps I have taken since my primary victory to ensure that the GOP leadership represents all New Jerseyans. George is a man of integrity and living proof of the big tent that we talk about so often in the Republican Party. George brings practical business experience and innovative ideas necessary to energize the Republican Party in Plainfield and other urban centers throughout New Jersey. I look forward to working with George to fulfill our party’s promise of providing hope and opportunity to people of all backgrounds.”
George Gore said, “I am appreciative of the opportunity to serve the Republican Party and New Jersey through this appointment. Bret Schundler’s efforts during his time as Mayor of Jersey City made the city a better place to live, work and raise a family for all its residents, including minorities. Together, our hard work will do the same for the state of New Jersey.”
Bret Schundler made the announcement at the Black United Fund of New Jersey located in Plainfield.
George Gore has three decades of experience in the business world. Currently, he is a sales executive with AT&T. George Gore is married with three children. He lives in Plainfield.
