What is the New Jersey State flag?

By Joint Resolution No. 2 of 1896, the New Jersey State Flag is the the State seal on a buff (yellow-tan) background.

By Chapter 1700, P.L. 1965, the State flag's official colors are buff and blue. During the Revolutionary War, George Washington chose the colors buff and blue for the New Jersey regiments.
